Local super star Dora Barnes is known for her stunning voice and awe-inspiring high notes. Winner of the 2017 Met Council Encouragement Award and featured artist of the Seattle Art Song Society, she is proving to be a tour-de-force in the opera world. Her performances are described as breathtaking and honest. She lives her life as a leading lady on the stage and off. She has a passion for teaching women how to open up and use all of their voice to create a strong, resonant sound. She expertly teaches core singing technique and helps students unlock their upper range without tension or strain. She loves to work on breathing technique and range development. Her favorite genres to teach are classical, musical theatre, and pop.

Genesis Parker, Voice

Gospel singer and vocal powerhouse Genesis Parker has been singing and performing since she was four years old. Her thunderous belt will lead you to tears. For singers looking to sing like Adele, Whitney Houston, or any other diva, Genesis will inspire you sing all out. Her encouraging teaching style helps students to sing confidently and passionately. A student-favorite, she loves to teach masterclasses and encourage students to perform on stage. 

Illinois native Natalie Ingrisano has made the Pacific Northwest her home after receiving her Masters in Music from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, WA. She specializes in Early Music, being one of the most in demand Sopranos in the early music repertoire. A fully booked performer, she is a regular soloist at some of the most beautiful churches in Seattle. She masterfully brings music to life with her effortless high notes and expert musicianship. She loves instilling work ethic in her students, while teaching them to have a deep love and appreciation for music along the way. She is an amazing technician and can truly bring out the best sound in every singer.

Our Instructors

Washington native Cody Gouge is an entrancing singer and gifted piano player. With over 15 years of performance experience, he is more comfortable on the stage than off it. He studied Opera Performance at the University of Houston's prestigious Moores School of Music and continues his voice study with famed Juliard Professor Emeritus Steve Smith and University of Washington Professor Dr. Kari Ragan. He is a master of crossing-over with a lifetime of experience in gospel and jazz music. His unparalleled experience in both classical and contemporary music makes him one of the most popular music teachers on the Eastside. He believes that all musicians should be well-rounded and able to cross-over between genres. His favorite genres to teach are musical theatre, gospel, pop, country, soul, jazz, and classical music.

Cody Gouge Music Studio carefully auditions, interviews, and screens each instructor to make sure that they are an accomplished musician and expert in their specialty.
